This is from the 24th may 2016 morning thunderstorms over pécel, hungary recorded at 7am using my sony icd-ux512 stereo dictaphone.

Thunder storm: this is a very accurate and realistic thunder storm. The great clashes of thunder can be heard accompanied buy the rumbling of the storm. Wind blowing and swooshing paints a beautiful picture. The sharp lightning strikes are very prominent. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This is a great ambience to create the basis of an amazing soundscape.

This is not a complete composition. This is a loop i created for people who play d&d or any rpg or game thats similar. It will loop perfectly. It is not diverse enough in composition to be considered a finished track, nor is it dynamic enough to be a finished song, it is a 3 min 30 seconds loop with the midi used on 2 different synths so it doesn't get more boring than it already is. This is not a complete composition. It's a loop. Meant to be looped. I used 2 sounds, the tiger roar and thunder from two other users. They described it is okay to do so in their description. You are sitting in my garden workshop facing south west as the first storm of the year moves in over the south downs towards you. Sit back and relax as the thunder rumbles around you.

One satisfying thunder crack, followed by it's rumbly aftermath, as well as a car passing on the street in the distance. There is no compression or eq applied, and the file has a high dynamic range, so for many applications you may need to use some dynamics processing to reduce the dynamic range. Recorded with spaced pair ksm141, in omni mode, no filters.

This sound was taken with zoom h4n recorder. Location: meylan, france, in the alps. The town is situated near a 300. 000 inhabitants city, in a valley surrounded by moutains. Description : rain is pouring louder and louder, rolling thunder strikes periodically, exploding like a gunshot or echoing from one moutain to another. (i'm afraid at one point, the sound of a music from a video game played by neighboors was recorded, but apart from these few seconds, this sound is cool ;))hope you'll find it helpful.

A thunderstorm in munich, recorded 2020-07-01 in my backyard on second floor on a balcony. It rains, the strikes come closer, then they go away, the rain recedes. Some backyard noise, faint traffic and tram. One time you here me sighing (sorry). Some minimal clipping at thunder peaks, sorry again, but i think it's very usable anyway and contains a lot of material. Inspired from the sniper scene in "saving private ryan,". These are sound recordings of a heavy storm that entered los angeles. A compressor and equalizer was added to emphasize the rain in the gutter. Used to your preference, add rocks, gun loading, battle etc and you'll have an award winning film. Recorded using a tascam dr07 mk2 x/y stereo config. 24bit 96khz, down-sampled to 16 bit wav. Feel free to credit,comment and suggest further recordings for your need. I recorded a thunder strike outside my house with my field equipment. Sound devices 442 rode ntg2.

Ten minutes of last night's storm - rumbly grumbly thunder and lashings of rain.

The recording starts with gentle rain and slow thunder rolling across the sky. The thunder is predominantly in the first half of the recording. The rain increases in intensity in the second half, peaking about three-quarters of the way through. Recorded on a sheltered, outdoor stairway, in a suburban location in south-eastern england, in august 2013; using a zoom h2n recorder set on mid-side stereo, at a 120 degree spread. The original recording was heavily edited, to remove traffic, trains, planes and parakeets(!). Some light, occasional, background traffic noise remains, however.

I made this field recording a few weeks back during a thunderstorm. It's in the bush near a stream which can be faintly heard in the background. Recorded with a zoom h4n. Mp3 320kb/s.
